I looked up a guy who I went to high school with.We became friends again. We talked on the phone. As we were talking,I told him when were high school.I had a crush on him and I wanted to ask him out on a date.I told him I didn't ask him out on a date in high school because I was really shy.He told me if I asked him out.He would have gone with me on a date.As we were talking,I asked him out on a date,he said yes.Is there anything wrong with me asking him on a date now fifteen years after we graduated high school. My friend has no kids and he's single.

A friend of mine had a girl he knew in THIRD GRADE call him and tell him she had a crush on him in 3rd grade and asked him on a date. They are now married and have a little girl. :)

Nah, there's nothing wrong with it, but if I were you, I'd let him ask me the next time. If he's really interested in pursuing something, he'll ask but you got the ball rolling so go for it.

There is nothing wrong with what you did. But why did he not ask you out when you confessed your crush? The only thing that annoys me about that situation is that men who prefer to be asked out in order to date them usually stay that way throughout the relationship. From what I have seen, the women usually have to stay the aggressor in maintaining the romance, the communication, etc. But, one never knows unless she tries!

I don't think there's anything wrong with that at all. I did the exact same thing this past summer with a guy I knew in high school but he liked me in high school and I didn't like him. I got to know him and I was the one to ask him out this time around. We had some great dates. Go for it and have fun!

Absolutely. It's the things we don't do, chances we don't take we wind up regretting. Good luck
