im currently in a little dilemma: im 18 years old and a freshman in college and ive suddenly struck in an interest in my younger brother's best friend, who is 16 years old and a sophomore in high school. we get along pretty well and we've casually discussed the topic of me ever dating him. would it be totally wrong to go for it???

I say go for it for I was an 18 yr old freshman in college and I dated my brothers best friend who was 16 yrs old we dated for a yr and then went our seperate ways but I'll always remember the good times that we had with each other I see no harm in this and if you like each other then why not just be patient with each other for you will have exams and he will have HS stuff going on with him but why not enjoy - keep us updated

I see nothing wrong with it if you are really interested. I know a guy who always seemed to attract older women (as well as his own age), starting when he was 19 and he had a girlfriend who was 22. There are just some men who have the maturity or substance or whatever to genuinely interest women who are significantly older and have more life experience. I'm not talking about women who want a younger man to baby or boytoy with.

One thing to consider: if he is 16, make sure you don't do anything illegal with him. In other words, if he is under legal age, don't have sex with him, if it comes to that.

And another thing: since he is younger, it might not be a bad idea to take things easier than if he were your own age.
