I met this guy about two months ago online, we hit it off great! Met within the first couple emails and totally clicked... our first date was 7 hours! It was awesome. With both of us being busy people, scheduling was becoming an issue so within these 2 months we haven't really seen much of each other. Plus in the beginning he made it clear that he was "playing the field" so to speak, so that kinda turned me off. I really like this guy but last night decided that maybe this wasn't gonna workout. He is talking to someone long distance and feels he has to meet her because he has created this "phone relationship" with her. Am I being naive or is that weird, I mean we totally hit off, we like the same things, laugh alot and just have a great time together, why is he so intrigued about some girl he only knows through phone and email? Isn't always nice to have that person live and in front of you? I'm just really bummed out because we both really like each other but it just seems like bad timing? Should I continue to talk to him as a friend? Nothing sexual happened between us expect innocent kissing, or does that just cause friction and resentment because in reality nothing is going to come of it except heartache. Help!

he's got feelings for this girl he's been talking with, ok. It happens. He told you up front that he was "playing the field". He was honest. You should have probably just ended things completely as soon as he told you. Did you think that he would change his mind after spending time with you? If you are looking for a serious relationship, put an end to this one completely.
