Dating shorter men

I went on a blind date Friday night. He was attractive and has a friendly personality. There were very few awkward moments. The problem is I am 5'8 and he is 5'4. I have never dated anyone shorter than me. That felt very awkward. Should I go out with him again and see if that feeling passes? Would you date a shorter guy. It's not the fact he is short, but I feel so big standing next to him. It did'nt seem to bother him.
He is also 8 years younger than me. I thought that would bother me. But it seems that the height difference is the only thing. He is probably the best person I have been out with in a while. Am I being too picky? What should I do?

Give him another shot, I'd say. Wouldn't you be miffed if you knew that a guy wouldn't go out with you again because of something outside of your control... like a disability of some kind? You might find after you spend more time together that you don't notice the height difference as much. How much of your disappointment was due to the initial shock rather than his height itself?
I just think it'd be a shame to write him off over a couple of inches if you are otherwise attracted to him.
Hello
Yes, you're picky but you've got plenty of company. Many, many women would feel uncomfortable with a much shorter man.
