defining the relationship

I want to have "the talk" with the guy i have been dating for 9 weeks now. Is this too soon? For the first 5 weeks, we saw each other once a week and now it's been twice a week. We have been moving slow. The only physical contact we've had is kissing at the end of our dates and the kissing are only pecks; nothing really passionate. How do I approach defining our relationship? I don't exactly know how to bring it up. I don't want to push him too quickly just in case he may be dating someone else too. Or should I wait for him to bring this topic up. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I never have a problem with anyone being honest with what they are feeling. If you want to date this guy exclusively or see him more often then you should say so. You can't get what you don't ask for, and you won't know where he stands if you don't ask him.

I'd ask if he's dating more women and how's the status with you. You'll have your answer. Men should be asked direct questions to get direct answers.
