Did I blow it ??

I'm sure I'm jumping the gun with this post and will, in a few days, be posting about a great 2nd date.

I've got one concern though.

Had an AMAZING first date with a guy from OLD. Hadn't gone there expecting anything (didn't take any added effort for hair/dress/makeup) and wound up having a fantastic time. As in another post - I have a minor limp and seldom tell men before we meet so there is often potential for awkwardness. Since he was sitting down when I met him - there was no way he didn't see this right off because he ten followed me accross the room to a table - didn't seem bothered at all.

We talked over drinks and appies all night. Listened to good music - seems we loved every song that came on lol he even sings along (much like myself). Several times he said how glad he was we'd gone out - - making eye contact every time. He's new to town and was telling me of his old hectic work schedule and how he decided it was time to move and "start a family" . . . even made mention of "finding a girl like you". Ha ha committment phobe that I am - that didn't even phase me.

Walked me to my car, gave me a hug, and as he walked away asked if I'd like to do dinner - of course I said I would. THis was sunday. Wed he was on msn and initiated a conversation with me - partway through he said he had fun the other night and hoped I had as well - again, I of course said yes I had.

Anyway - - where I'm thinking I may have mis-stepped was partway through our date when he mentioned going to my place to hang some pictures (I had teased via IM that I'd be trying to coerce him into doing some picture hanging at my new house). I fumbled because since I was having such a good time right where I was - and I for a moment feared that picture hanging was code for "other activities". Anyway I did say yeah sure but my house is a huge mess and I don't know where my hammer/nails are . . . anyway he said "oh we can do that another time". I'm inclined to think that he too was having fun right where he was because we stayed another two hours beyond that - and of course walking to the car/suggesting dinner came after that.

I'm just worried that perhaps HE thinks now that I was trying to get him home for something which of course would have him think I do that all the time.

Havne't seen him online since wed. Not active on the dating site we met on either. Could be he found an apartment and is moving - or went camping . . . I'm not really worried about not hearing from him (I would be if he were obviously online but he's not).

Would a guy misinterpret a girl's willingness to let him come to her place on a first date as a willingness to have sex ?? My first thought when he suggested it was "oh great I've been wrong about this one" . . . but then he so easily backtracked out of it . . .

I wouldn't worry about it, BUT I wouldn;t bring it up again either. Teasing leads to saying stuff that could be interpreted the wrong way and since you've had just one date with him it's best if you leave the hanging picture talk for later on.
