When a guy gives a woman a dozen pink roses and brings her home to meet his parents...that means he pretty much is falling for her, doesn't it? Or can it mean something else? I'm just curious because the guy told me he "couldn't see himself being tied down to ANYONE"...yet he has a woman and is giving her roses. Why don't guys just say they are not interested instead of giving a song and dance about it? It hurts so much worse getting lied to. Please let me know...I want to understand why. Thank you.

he wouldn't do all that without being interested. But he's also scared as well, thus the warnings. So proceed - but with caution. I don't think he's intentionally lying

Jajalel,
Hi! Thank you for reply. I wasn't the recipent of the roses. So that's why I felt he lied to me. I told him up from that if he wasn't interested...to just tell me and I would be more than happy to be friends. But he couldn't even do that for me and kept leading me on...that's why I'm hurt. He told me that he "couldn't see himself being tied down to ANYBODY!" but yet he's giving his new girlfriend roses and taking her home to meet his dad? It's just wrong and he really didn't handle himself well at all. I only told my manager who kept it between the 3 of us...he was the one who spread it throughout the workplace. That is why I am moving on and don't want anything to do with him...how can I be friends if I can't trust them. I'm just so mad at him and he has been trying to act like nothing happened and wants to be friends with me. Rrrrrrrrrr! If he didn't play games and told me what his intentions were from the beginning we would've continued to be friends. I hope you see where I'm coming from. Thank you.
