Dressing up?

This Friday night I have a date, a first date to be specific. I met the fellow in question on a day trip with some other friends, he asked our mutual friend for my number and viola! date.

I told a friend of mine about it and she insists that I need to wear a skirt and get "dolled up". When I met him I was just wearing a pair of comfy jeans and t-shirt, no make-up, and my hair was just a mess from the heat and humidity. He was about the same.

Part of me is fine with wearing a pair of dressy, club-wear jeans and a really hot top, but part of me wonders if I should follow her advice and don the skirt and eyeliner.

How much do you all dress up for first dates?

I like to be comfortable esp. for a first date. Depends on where the 2 of you are going? maybe that would help

I think the safe route is somewhere between cas and dressy... definately femme. I would NOT go with a skirt.. not until you know his style of activities a little more..

I would go with your favorite jeans, and a pretty, somewhat dressy shirt, comfy shoes, incase you take a walk, and minimal make up. I used to be a make up artist, actually, so this is my advice as far as that goes

eyes: wear bronze or bronz-y peach, depending on your skin tone. Get a shade darker (or go with a chocolate brown, if you want smokey), and wipe it along your lashline (upper only), and blend it up and out. line your eyes neatly with black (not smudgy I mean), and curl your lashes..

I would just go with lip gloss or something..

simple, and you wont look like youre trying, you will be prepared to do whatever comes up, and you will look naturally pretty

Hope that helps
