First anniversary present

My boyfriend and I are about to celebrate our one year anniversary. I'm having trouble coming up with ideas for a present for him. We're both in college, and so I don't have a big budget. I feel like I used up all my good ideas on Christmas and his birthday last month. hehe. He really likes sports, but I'm not sure he would wear a jersey, and I got him a poster of his favorite player for his birthday. Are there any other good sports-related presents? Or any other ideas?

Hi,

The type of present depends on your intention for the anniversary. To me, an anniversary present should remind the person of your union so I'm thinking sports memorbilia may be too impersonal. Personally I would attempt to remind him of your meeting or your first date. What did you do, where did you meet? Would there be a gift that would spark that memory? Or is there a memory that stands out that you'd like to remind him of?

Or, create a new memory by taking him out that night...

Hope this helps.

I agree that it should be something more for the Two of you than for him (like a Christmas or bday present). If money is tight, I would say it's always fun to recreate your 1st date. If you like to (or don't mind - LOL) cooking, fix a nice meal at home.

My sweetie and I LOVE to stay in, eat, and cuddle on the couch to reminisce about the early times. Being nervous about first meeting, first dates, etc.

Just enjoy yourselves...

Do you cook? Make him his favorite meal by candle light... He'll love it. All men love to eat. Buy a cheap/good bottle of wine...(if you drink) and just relax and maybe have a good time...rent a movie...maybe a sports related movie that he would like....But him a nice card w/something sweet written in it....all of that stuff sounds good...you could get him a bobble head sports man...sports keychain of some sort....there are all kinds of things that you can do....did you ask him what he wanted for his bday?

There are some sports movies out...Invincible w/Mark Walberg that's a football movie...that Josh Lucas movie where he plays a basketball coach is out...
