first date follow up

guys, or girls who have been in this situation, if you had a great first date and first kiss with a girl you met just 2 days ago, and agreed to meet again later in the week, is it a good sign to receive a text message the day after the date saying that she had a great time ? what should i say to stay casual and not freak him out as if i couldn't stay a day without talking to him ?

I wouldn't send the text message the next day, seems too needy. I'd wait til the guy calls me. A message too soon could be a turn off.

I know for me, I do the day-after text ONLY if the night before we had a great time, and I didn't say "I had a really great time tonight, thank you" (or something to that effect). If you thanked him the night of the date and said you had a great time, then sending him a text seems clingy. But, if you didn't, then a simple "Hey, I just wanted to thank you for last night, I had a grreat time" will do. Don't say things like "Give me a call" or "hope we get together again soon" because that looks needy. I know alot of men who appreciate the day-after text, it makes them feel good. I myself have recieved it and it puts a smile on my face - just as long as it isn't being pushy about "when am I going to see you again" or telling me to call, etc.
