Dating is not my forte, although I am striving to become better at it.
I met a guy last night from online. We emailed back and forth just for a day and minimal discussion. He called me last night and invited me out for a drink around 9pm, we chatted for about an hour and a half over a beer. Things seemed good, we talked about the area we lived in, family, school, growing up. It was lively or so I thought it was. Around 10:45pm he mentioned that he had to be up by 5:45am to get to work so we wrapped things up. He then extended his hand to shake mine and said it was very nice meeting you, give me a call sometime and we can go surfing. Okay so we shared that as a common interest. This is the second time I have been given that line at the end of the date, "let's go surfing". Not sure if I should take this as a blow off or genuine considering I wouldn't think that to be a second date. So I am curious of other people's outlook on this?

Quick quote from Pianoguy:
"One date doesn't mean a permanent relationship!"
The words you see on the computer screen don't always "match" the image who is sitting across from you at a restaurant table! Go about your day-to-day business and see if there's a 2nd invitation from this man?
But above all...STOP PUTTING YOURSELF DOWN! Every social situation WON'T have a:
"...and they lived happily ever after" ending!

I would definitely take that as a blow off. Guys who are really interested in seeing you again don't ask you to call them, they call YOU, or even arrange for a 2nd date while you're still on the 1st date.
