Hello,

The guy I have been dating is very thoughtful and has good morals. Everything seems great except for the following: He seems to be the right one, but he has this sarcasm that drives me bonkers:( For example, everything is a joke and I have a hard time getting him to be serious. He has a hard time knowning when and where to draw the line. When he know he is pushing my buttons, he turns everything into a joke to lighten the mood. Please advise!

er1976...

Pianoguy knows several people like your b/f...(one is a family member)...and sarcasm is a habit that occasionally drives him nuts!

What you need to figure out is whether you can adjust to 'the kidding around' element of his personality....or whether his habit will make you angry? What would happen if you 'verbally volleyed back' at him...the next time he "pushes your buttons?" A couple of choice remarks would either shock him...or encourage him to keep the behavior going.

Do you want to play this game "back at him?" It's obvious he doesn't want to change his habits---even though they're annoying you now.

Maybe the family member thinks talking in the third person drives him nuts *wink*
