Happy with bf but what if....

Hey there,

Mine's a rather trivial question actually, but I've been wanting to ask someone for a while. I've been in a content relationship with my guy for almost 2.5 years now, and things are just dandy. However, (shamefully I must admit), I check out guys a lot, and I've even had a sort of crush on this other guy for 1.5 years or so. But I don't have any intention of following up on it, and even if I were single, I don't know if I would seriously date the other guy. It seems he's almost a.... distraction!

So I was wondering if this was normal, or should I really stop? I think perhaps I'm so content in my current relationship that I look for mental excitement elsewhere? I hope its not just me!

Thanks for any feedback!

Thanks for your reply!

Yeah I hear its normal to have a peek at the opposite sex every now and then =), but isn't it wierd when you just peek at the same guy for 1.5 years? And I was incredibly nervous around him as well at first, my only friend that knows about this guy says I was "too obvious" around him. I've since calmed down a bit (ie. I can talk to him without a complete loss of nerves and words at least!), but this seems to be the sort of thing only a single person should be doing/feeling? I have gone out of my way not to get to know him, although we've had plenty of chances to do so, but I am always so very tempted to! There was this one time he invited me to see a movie with him and his friends and it took all my willpower to say no...

It just seems so wierd to feel this way about one guy, and yet be quite content and happy with another guy. Oh if only we could have two hahahhaha.... just kiddin' =). If any of my coupled up friends knew what I felt, I think they'd be really shocked, so I'm getting the feeling this is not very normal...
