This guy started at my work about a year ago, but within the past four or so months we have become extremely close. We talk about our relationships, things we did over the weekend, etc. I found that I am starting to fall for him. He possess everything I want in a man. We are both in our mid-20's and both currently single. We went to see the Phantom of the Opera (dutch of course)about three weeks ago and had a lot of fun. Last weekend, we went out with some people from work for one of our co-worker's birthday. After several drinks we began to dance together and he said that he felt sexual tension. I asked if that was a problem, but he didn't reply. Everyone at work makes comments such as "you guys are like third graders that like each other" or "just get it over with". I don't know how or when I should bring this up with him. I have never felt this way about a guy before. The problem is my self-esteem. I am not physically his type, from past relationships. He likes short skinny little things. I am pretty average size and height. I don't want to ruin the friendship or cause problems at the work place. I just need to know how he feels. I have read replies saying "just ask him over and watch when harry me sally". But that just seems so obvious. All my friends say that I should say something, but I am scared of the rejection. I know I have to look at the positive side, but man, oh man is that hard. Any suggestions? Should I wait for him to make a move? Please advice!

If he were interested in dating you, he'd ask you out.
