Is He or Isn't He

I am recently divorced with an 8 yr old son. He plays football and I am at practice 3 times a week and a game every Saturday, I'm team mom. The Ex is also at all practices and games. I have been flirting with one of the coaches (also recently divorced) for the last several weeks. Some of our banter has gotten pretty suggestive. The Ex and the coach know each other from their old elementary school days. The EX is constantly hovering around me and it makes it difficult to flirt with the coach. However, we manage. The coach even gave me a big hug and kiss on the cheek in front of the EX once. During one of our flirting sessions the coach stated he was home the night before cleaning his house, I said I was out with the girls that night and he said I should have called him. He then asked if I wanted his number. I was floored and responded with a shrug.
Well a few days later we took the flirting up a level and I wound up asking to hang some curtain rods for me. He actually said yes and told me to let him know when. Then next time I saw him he told me to let him know when I needed to him to hang the rods. I said ok but left it. Later that night I called him ( his son had put his dads # in my cell and my # in his dad's cell) The coach was surprised to get my call but we wound up talking for almost an hour. During the call he talked about his wife leaving him one day while he was at work and also how she keeps staying in touch. He also says he puts on a great act always saying he needs a woman, but it is just an act. There was no flirting during this call. Saturday (today)we had a game but he had to work before. I offered to watch his son in the am and then take his son to the game, he agreed. That was today and now tomorrow he's coming to put up the rods. Why all the flirting but then I get told he's not sure what he would do if he met someone. However, today he was talking to this other chick that one of the other moms was trying to set him up with. Is it the Ex or is it a case of "he's just not that into me"?
What should I do tomorrow when he gets here to hang the curtain rods?

Pianoguy suggests that the 2 of you should just hang the curtain rods! Don't expect anything more...one way or another!
If you've already been 'candid' (and occasionally affectionate) on the football field, it's a safe bet you'll bring up both EX's during 'curtaining!'
Keep in mind that any man who has been DUMPED or ABANDONED by a spouse or g/f...is very likely to have 'reservations' about dating someone else! This doesn't mean that you aren't going to have the opportunity to "be a couple" together in the future?
But NOW may NOT BE THE TIME!
Let the friendship between you grow first....if anything further is supposed to happen, IT WILL!
Good Luck!

Well, he was being honest it seems when he told you about his wife (how long ago did she leave, btw?) and how his flirting is an act.
