Is he too young for me?

Hi everyone.

I am 23 years old and single. This past weekend, I met a guy through my cousin. They came to town to party because it was my cousin's 21st birthday. I met his friends and I thought one was really cute. We all hung out together and by the end of the night, I ended up getting quite friendly with the cute friend. We exchanged numbers after we spent most of the night hanging out together (at his request). I don't believe in soulmates, but if I did, I think this guy would be mine. There's a problem, though. I usually date older guys; my last boyfriend was 30. This guy is only 20 years old and I don't go for younger guys. But, he seems a little more mature than most guys his age. He was very polite and funny, which I love. But he's a senior in college and I'm 2 years out of college and swiftly climbing the ladder in my field. I will be buying my own townhome in June. I know people say that age doesn't matter, but he's in college AND he lives in another state. Is he too young and/or too far away for me to even waste my time? I can't stop thinking about him and I want to call him (I told him I would because he'll be visiting a nearby city in a couple of weeks and wanted me to meet him there) but I don't know if it would be the best thing. Any advice on this is welcomed. Thanks!!

I know at your age, 3 years seems like a big difference in age. However, as we get older, it truly doesn't make that much of a difference. If you are attracted to the person and you get along well, go for it. Just go slowly (as a guy of ANY age can throw us for a loop at any time!) and see if he is someone you would like to date. Nothing wrong with trying. Those other guys are ex's for a reason, right?
