Help, huge crush!

Hi,
I am in my late thirties, divorced. There is a guy at work that I have a crush on. He stops and chats frequently. He also mentioned once when we were talking about movies that we should go together when I find time as he hates going to movies alone, he said it in a very casual way. We met a couple of times with friends. I was planning a get together with friends and invited him and he could not come as he had to work. Then I thought about it and decided that since I like the guy, instead of trying to meet him through these get togethers, I should ask him directly. So the same day he said he could not come for the get together, I called him asked if he would go to a movie on weekend when he and I are both free, which happened to be two weeks from today. Do you think I was looking desperate in calling him the same day and make date for two weeks later? He said yes to the movie and it sounds like a good idea. Now I am thinking if I sounded desperate?

In my opinion, I didn't think it sounded desperate on your part. Plus, he agreed to see the movie with you, and that's great! Now, go out and have a good time with him, but no matter how much you like him after that, put the ball in his court and let him make the next invitation. If he had a great time and is still interested, he'll do the asking next time around.

He agreed to the date! Concentrate on that and be positive. But let him ask you out the next time.

Put the shoe on the other foot - would you have thought he wsounded desparate if he had done the same thing? I doubt it. Enjoy the movie!
