I dated this guy for a while and I fell in love with him. Well, we broke up about 6 months ago, and I thought I had moved on. I'm no longer in love with him, but to an extent I do still have feelings for him. We still hang out all the time and he lived with me for a little while. Well now I've been talking to his best friend and I really like him a lot. I see a lot of potential for a relationship with him. My ex confronted me about his friend last night and asked what was going on between the two of us. We talked for a little bit and he told me that if I liked him that we should go for it, and we also talked about how our relationship was great and that if we would have worked a little harder we would have been something great. So now I'm stuck...I really like his friend and would like to see where that is going, but part of me is still stuck on my ex and all the feelings I have for him. How do I move on?

nicolev1127...

Pianoguy suggests that you download a copy of "DID YOU EVER HAVE TO MAKE UP YOUR MIND" by a 60s group called The Lovin' Spoonful. Substitute the word "girl" for "son" toward the end of the song!

You either want to be with one person....or another....but frankly, I don't think either choice is going to work for you!

WHY?

Because both men are going to 'compare notes about you' with each other!

As for your theory of "if we tried a little harder we could've had something great"---you wouldn't be confused about making a choice between the 2 gentlemen. YOU'D STILL BE ATTACHED AT THE HIP TO BOYFRIEND #1!

Let 'em both go...
