Hi I just want to share my "I don't understand guys" experience...

I met a guy on the internet and he is cute and sounds nice. We talked on the phone and decided to meet. He said he was going to see a sports game on TV Sunday night and asked me if I want to join him. I can't believe this kind of man, who ask to come to his place for the first date. My friend met a man who did the same. This is not normal, right? What are they thinking???

Asking you to come over and hang out while someone does something they're already goign to do regardless of your presence is NOT a date.

That's being asked to hang out.....to hook up.

I'm confused...if he's "going to see" (your words) a sports event and wants you to join him, where does his place come into play? It sounds to me like he's going out to a bar to watch the game or something, and would like you to meet him. Please clarify.

He wanted to see the game on TV at his place. I don't know if he was planning to see the game by himself or with his friends but he asked me if I want to come over. I think normal people go to dinner, have drinks or coffee to meet someone for the first time, right? So, I didn't understand him and didn't see him.

Ok, with that clarification, I agree. No woman in her right mind would go to the home of a guy she's never met, and no man in his right mind would ask! Safety first, meet in a public place.

It is very UNSAFE for you to go to anyones home or meet anyone in a secluded place that you haven't gone out with before.

I made the mistake one time when I first started online dating of doing this and the guy was very close to raping me but I remained calm and got him to go.

PLEASE date in public and take your own car.

Obviously there's no way you should take him up on his offer but it's hard for a lot of guys to "walk a mile in a woman;s" shoes, as in to realize what we go through if we're on a deserted street and suddenly hear footsteps behind us.
