One time I asked this girl out for Valentine's Day. We had seen each other before a few times. I bought her a small gift for the event. Anyway, she calles and cancelled on the last minute. She said because it was her birthday the previous eek, her friends wanted to take her out.

I know Valentine's Day is very important to a female, I figured she either had another guy or did not think I was that of a big deal to see on that day.

Being blown off on Valentine's Day was kind off embarrassing to say the least.

Why is this still bothering you over a month later? Have you seen her since then?

I think it was rude of her to accept other plans after telling you she'd go out with you. She doesn't sound very into you. I suspect that she agreed to out with you just so she wouldn't have to spend the night alone, but then something better came along and that is why she cancelled.

Well I have a live and learn mentality. I never called her back. Therefore, I got over it. But I always like other people's opinions. This message board is pretty interesting.

And does not hurt me to talk about it.

I agree. I was just curious. I think it's good that you didn't call her back. I really don't think she had much interest in you so it would have been a waste of your time and energy. Find someone who is interested in you and treats you with respect. Good luck!
