How do I cope with a Commitment Phobe?

I am curious, my ex, who I remain good friends with, is a confirmed commitment phobic.

Unfortunately, she is too embarrassed to go to counselling and has asked me to help her.

Is there anyone out there who has any good advice on how to help a self-confessed commitment phobic?

As my ex and I are close to re-starting our relationship, is there anything I can to my behaviour which may help her overcome this terrible problem for both her and myself?

Why is she embarrassed to go to counseling to look at her problems?

The best thing you can do for her is help her to overcome her embarrassment about counseling. She can be embarrassed and continue to suffer, or she can get help.

If she is *truly* a c'phobe, then she has deep-seated issues that aren't going to go away without counseling.

Get her a copy of the book "He's Scared, She's Scared" by Steven Carter...reading that might help her decide to go for counseling.
