Inappropriate?

Ok I'm sure this is totally lame but here goes... This bar/club that I dance at most Saturday nights has the cutest bouncer, which normally I wouldn't even consider because well he's at work and getting hit on at work (especially at a bar) is kind of inappropriate I think. Maybe I'm wrong. But anyways... I have quite a crush, been going on for a couple of months now, so I always send sidelong glances, make eye contact, smile. So I catch his eye fairly frequently... but he's working so I never go speak to him because.. well he's doing his job and I don't want to be one of those girls but at the same time there isn't anywhere else I'll have the opportunity to talk to him... Should I just let it go and enjoy the eyecandy or is there a way to chat him up without being totally ridiculous hitting on a guy at work?

dixibella...

Pianoguy noticed that you didn't indicate if the place you dance at has a policy about dating other employees? PG thinks that's where you should begin!

There are professionals out there who can appreciate beautiful women, but not to the point where they wish to DATE them!

And this might be the reason 'your bouncer buddy' is keeping his distance from you?

Unlike PG, I'm not going to assume that by dancing, you mean you work there

Oh no no no I don't work there, I'm just a regular patron and they have a great DJ so I dance, not a "dancer" in that sense. But I agree that you should never date coworkers, that's just a bad idea in general. But is it bad to hit on an employee while he's working?

I agree with Sandra. Maybe say something on your way out or hand him your phone number and ask him to call you. He might not but nothing ventured, nothing gained. If you don't hear from him, just don't let things be awkward at the club. He could have a girlfriend or wife, he could just not want to date customers. But it's worth a shot.

He definitely might be hit on all the time, so that's definitely something to consider. but if you want to ask a casual question - like does he ever have to toss people out, or whatever seems interesting
