Is it ok to call after breakup?

Hi everyone,
As you all know I brokeup with my boyfriend 11 days ago after 8months of relationship. I admit I am still in love with him, I don't know how to forget him at this point. I just feel guilty the way I broke up with him. I told him we are not going to see eachother any more, I feel I shut the door completely from him and I feel guilty in some ways and in the other hand I did the right thing. At this point I need your help, I am not thinking properly.

My question is, is it ok to call say hi? I don't want him to think I cut him off completley from my life. I did this because I want to know if he cares about me, miss me and see if he calls, instead he e-mailed me hurtful jock that he got it from his friend about woman.

Or do I have to wait if he calls what is your opinion on this with your experience, please?

Thank you
Carina.

Don't do it! Not yet, anyway.

The only way to get over someone is to have no contact with him for long enough that you get over all romantic feelings for him. It takes 3 things to get over someone: time, no contact and acceptance that it's over and that the two of you weren't right for each other.

Don't take his calls either and block him from emailing you.

This guy was a JERK to you, why do you care if he thinks you've cut him out of your life completely?

If you choose to call, recognize that it's going to take you that much longer to get over him. You may still choose to call, just realize it's going to have negative consequences.

It's new, he's undoubtedly hurting and when he hears your voice he might feel like you want to get back together, which you say you

I haven't read your other posts, so I don't know why you broke up, but if you aer the one who broke up with him it is not okay to call, imho.

Unless you're calling to say you made a mistake in breaking up with him and you want to get back together, you should not call.

Carina,

It takes time to get over someone even when you did the breaking up. We start to forget the worst and just remember the good, feel lonly, wonder if we made a mistake, if there will be anyone else, etc. The best advice is do the no contact for 6 months, then see how you feel. In the meantime, go out, do things, contact old friends, go for walks, anything. I totally understand what your going through - it sucks, but so did the relationship. You will move on, we all do.

Hi there,
Thank you for your response. I got e-mail back from him he said I was still in his thoughts that is why he e-mailed me the irritating jock. That he said, he respect me more than that.

What should I do can I e-mail him back or call him and ask how he is doing or wait?

thank you.
