I took a class a few months ago,and I really felt a connection with my teacher. It seemed like we spent all the classes just checking each other out. Lots of eye contact and smiles. Towards the end I brought him a bottle of wine as a thank you gift and he gave me a kiss on the cheek and stood real close. After I passed all my tests I started going on interviews and called him for some feedback, and in the middle of the convo he said *we should get together for drinks*, like a dummy I was caught off gaurd and didnt set anything up.I finally accepted one of the jobs, and sent him my new business card, with a personal note that I would like to get together for lunch or dinner. The thing is I didnt have his home address and it went to one of the places he teaches at. As far as I know there are no classes going on so I have no idea when and/or if he will get this.Does it sound as though there is anything worth pursuing here, or am I better to just let the whole thing go? I really like him a lot and would like to see him on a personal level. I could kick myself for not jumping on his invitation. I have no idea what to do now, I was married over 20 yrs, so this whole *dating* and *signal's* thing is new, god help us!!! hahahaha

beaner77...

Pianoguy can actually relate to your post, but many of the 'desirable women' he sees are married, show up at his workplace with a s.o....or are in a checkout line at WALMART! And all of these situations don't lend themselves to establishing a relationship.

Gotta question for you...are you ABSOLUTELY SURE your teacher isn't married or going out with somebody? If he isn't...and you have a phone number to reach him...set up a 'rendevous' after work for dinner or that drink you referenced in your post. Explain that you'd finally like to 'thank him' for all the time he spent teaching you skills and helping you 'land a job!'

If he agrees...GREAT! But...if he turns you down...don't press him any further.

To quote a line from SGT. PRESTON OF THE YUKON (both a radio and tv show)..."this case is closed!" :)

thanx pianoguy, I know he isn't married because one of the other students asked him and he said no I'm divorced, (this being said directed towards me). I do know he is out of state a lot helping his son buy a house, he told me this when I called for the feedback. It was our only phone convo so far. O well...call me clueless haha
