I can't tell you what happened because I wasn't there. The good news is that he told you to your face where he stood and you can take the information and process it. Can I tell you what went wrong? No. Can I tell you what to do different next time? No.
Dating is a numbers game so you have to try again if you want a relationship.
Well, if you hate that happening, then you're going to need to stop dating completely, because for better or worse, that's part and parcel of dating. Things are going to happen that you don't understand.
IMO he has been giving you warning signals that this didn't feel completely right to him for 2 months by saying you are too young for him.
But in any event, this is part of dating...and yes, if you were right for each other, it wouldn't have happened like it did.
I know the feeling... But at least he told you. I was talking to this guy for about a month. We had great chemisty...wonderful conversation...the attraction was there. And the one night we were hanging out..and something happened (not sure what) and he left, said he would call me later that day and just never did. That...is when I say...I would rather he have told me that night that he was not interested. Not lead me to beleive that he was still in the game and was interested but really wasn't. But like everyone else said...I guess that's a part of dating. And if we want to date...we need to get used to it because it's just comes with the territory. Unfortunate but true.
