Hello. I am new to this board and need advice. I have been dating a man for the past year off and on. When we met, I had a live-in boyfriend. I recently broke up w/ my live-in boyfriend and am seriously pursuing the man I met a year ago. He is a lawyer and is constantly working/busy. Can I say anything to him about the lack of time we spend together or what should I do/say? Your advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well, sure you can say whatever you want! The real question is, will it be effective? And you won't know that until you ask. Once you've asked him to spend more time together, however, it's up to him to change. If he chooses not to, then you need to decide whether you can accept him as is, or end the r'ship.

A simple, "I really enjoy your company and would like to spend more time together. What can we do to make that happen?" should work as an opening for that discussion.
