heyy
hmm...dunno how to start this...well hmm, basically, i've been together with my boyfriend for over 6 months...and thing is, he just left to singapore, (and in case u were wondering, i live in mauritius, which is MILES away!). Well, we're still high-school teens and although it often happens that teens dont usually take these things seriously, well, Chris and I do. It was a really hard decision to make and we havent broken up or anything. Well, thing is, i trust him loads and know that he'll be true to me. The only thing is that i still dont really know how to cope with the pain, coz it really hurts at times and i cant really talk to my friends about it, coz even though they were also great friends with him, they just cant really understand. So that's why i'm posting this to see if anyone can help me out, especially coz i got alot to prepare for, especially my final IGCSE exams at the end of the year, so i really am stressing out. We've been apart for almost a month and a half, but we keep in touch all the time, and that's pretty good coz i believe that absences make the heart grow STRONGER and for the time being, it's quite the way to describe things! Well, anyway! Hope to hear from someone(s) soon! ;)
Thanx loadz!

Are you and Chris planning to talk by email? Phone? Text? Carrier Pigeon? Even though there's distance between the 2 of you...there's no reason why you can't continue to communicate with each other...while taking care of business, right?
Granted...long-distance relationships don't always survive. (Pianoguy knows this 1st hand). However, there's no reason why Chris and You can't remain "tight" with each other?
Only question I have is this:
Can't you give each other "permission" to date others while this separation lasts? Your 'future Saturday nights' might be a little more interesting if you can arrive at some sort of understanding?
Best of luck and warm thoughts from...

Firstly thanx for your reply! To answer your question, we talk by email, phone & text, so everyway possible! ;) yea, i understand what you mean, but even though it's still pretty hard! Yea, know that these kinda of relationship dont
work always work out, but i'm pretty sure things r gona work out for us. He's coming over in December, for my birthday (lol!)
Well, the thing is, here there arent any guys that i fancy, so that wont really work out! But anyway!
Chris is obviously THE ONE (quoting Elton John here) for you...and while there may be no other men who can 'measure up to Chris'---it's nice to have the option of being able to maintain "friendships" with others! You don't have to get SERIOUS with any of 'em, but one or two might "spoil you a little" until Chris returns in December.
Just a thought...but men and women have actually learned a lot more about their S.O.'s from people they AREN'T emotionally attached to!
Best wishes and warm thoughts from...

Well, thing is yea, i think of it that way between Chris and myself. Yea sure i understand and my other close friends are more or less guys...i mean, hehehe! There is one in particular that i've known for ages and he does 'spoil' me a bit, but i guess that's alright, if that's what you're suggesting, well i'll reply, been there, done that!
LOL!
thanx again
