I'm trying to move on here (slowly but surely). What are some ideas to help me keep my mind on the future and not the past.

In the past I have gone shopping, which always makes me feel better. But I tell you, the last break-up was expensive. I bought a car. LOL!

I don't want to go out and "drink" the night away, but need to keep my mind off things. Any ideas?

Good for you, that you are moving on and open to ways to improve your future, instead of dwelling in the past.

LOL @ buying the car...

I find working out helps me. You can go to the gym in a crappy mood and an hour later, you're ready to take on the world--especially helps if you have some cuties around to look at. Going out with friends and reconnecting is great therapy too. Pick up a hobby that you've been putting off, take a class at a local college, get a second job...

I think the key is to do things that will engage you mentally, this way there's less space for thinking about who you broke up with.

And you can always come back here and help others--that's theraputic too! :)

Hope this helps! Keep us updated.

Sports, outdoors, games, physical recreation is the best.
