I have been dating this guy for about three months and recently I have noticed how clingy he is and it is driving me crazy. We had the whole "I need my space" talk and he has told me that he loves me- I told him I didn't want to hear that. But it seems as if he has to be with me 24/7. As soon as I get off work he pulls in my driveway, if we have nights off together he is wanting to stay at my house that night. If he works one night he wants to come over and sleep at my house during the day (even if I won't be there.) If for some reason we don't see each other during the day he is calling me or wanting me to call him. He will sit my couch and if he wants to hold me he'll hold his hands out to me and kind of grunt (reminds me of a spoiled little kid wanting his mom to carry him around.) I have tried to expain to him that its OK if we don't see each other every waking minute of the day and I need to have my own life. Just because I don't NEED him doesn't mean I don't want to spend time with him, and I don't want him to NEED me. I really like this guy but it getting a little old. Any suggestions?

If you've discussed this with him and he's not getting it, the only other suggestion I have for you is to make yourself less available if you can. If you are not around when he is looking to be needy, he may start getting the idea.
