I can't really comment on the half a year prior..but I am currently dating a guy, for about a month now, and he does still have a Match profile, as do I. I don't LIKE that he checks it, but I stay even keeled by making sure I'm keeping my options open until the time comes to be exclusive (IF the time comes).

If we were to agree to be exclusive, then that would be the time for us to discuss taking down our Match profiles.

Are you and this guy exclusive? In a relationship? If so, stop spying and ask him about it. Don't be confrontational, just ask if he could take it down, since it's bothering you.

I don;t have a profile or do I intend on ever having one. It just seems to me that he is keeping his options open and its kind of embrassing that I am with someone that has a match dot com profile - I am like one of those girls I would call not so bright for dating a guy like that

Before agreeing to get back together, I would have discussed our expectations about exclusivity, including profiles. Since it sounds like you didn't do so, it's time to bring it up.

this sounds like something you should bring up with the guy but at this juncture (it's only been 6 weeks at this point) not in a blaming, accusatory way. And how do you know - are you on match.com as well? Is he on match.com but not an active user - like his profile is just sitting there but he doesn't utilize the service but hasn't yet cancelled the membership? That makes a difference.

Until you agree to see each other exclusively, I think you should assume that any guy you meet online is going to

Well, the principle is the same. Until you have an agreement between the two of you that you are dating only each other, he is free to keep his online profile active.
