I AM WONDERING IF ANY ONE HAS EVER EXPERIENCED A PRISON RELATIONSHIP...I HAVE 2 FRIENDS WHO HAVE AND BOTH OF THEIR GUYS ARE OUT AND THEYRE MARRIED AND DOING GREAT. I HAVE ANOTHER FRIEND THAT MET A PRISON GUY THRU HER EX BOYFIREND...ITS HIS BROTHER....I DONT KNOW WHAT TO TELL HER....THE PRISON GUY SEEMS SUPER COOL, NICE GUY FROM A GREAT FAMILY, HE JUST MESSED UP AND GOT TOO MUCH TIME FOR HIS SCREW UP. THEY FELL IN LOVE THRU LETTERS, PICTURES, PHONE CALLS AND NOW THEY ARE GOING TO MEET....THEY TALK ABOUT GETTING MARRIED ETC. I AM GOING WITH HER TO MEET HIM, I SUPPORT HER I THINK ITLL WORK, BUT I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS KIND OF THING.AND I TEND TO BE ALL FOR LOVE AND BELIEVE THAT REAL LOVE CAN BE FOUND ANYWHERE...PLEASE ADVISE. THANKS SO MUCH.

I think there is a certain psychological 'type' that goes for men in prisons...I'm sure that I've read articles about it. I find it interesting that you have several friends who have corresponded wtih and married a former prisoner. I have my doubts about the success of any long distance relationship. I think part of the charm is the fact that you're not actually in the day to day of it. I know that some people meet and marry and stay together, but it's not a regular occurance.
