Hi!
I am interested in getting everyone's opinion on this:
If you took the initiative and contacted a guy - or girl - without really knowing too much about how they felt, would you expect a response? Say you phone someone (or email, smoke signals, whatever) just to say hi and leave a casual message, would you like them to respond back, even if it's just to tell you that they are not interested? Or, if they aren't interested, would you rather hear nothing at all?
FYI, I was thinking about this because I took the initiative and emailed a guy (couldn't call for certain reasons, so I figured email was the best bet) and I never heard back. I didn't really care this time around, but I have cared in the past, especially when I have really liked someone.
So what does everyone think?? Thanks!!

I personally prefer to infer from their silence that they are not interested. I HATE getting "thanks but no thanks" phone calls or emails!

I don't want the thanks, but I just want to be friends or the excuses or whatever.
If he doesn't call me back or leaves me an email, I prefer it that way.
Thanks for your responses! It's always interesting to hear what people have to say.
As for me, I think I spoke too soon! I ended up getting an email from him earlier this morning, and he invited me to lunch!! So needless to say I am happy about that.
Happy it worked out for you.
