seeking the middle ground

Hi all -
I find myself in a typical dilemma: the long distance relationship. I may have found the perfect guy with one little hiccup - 2400 miles. He invited me out for President's Day weekend and we had an amazing time...so much so that he's said the words we all want to hear ("can't wait to see you again" and "I can't not see you soon"). Now here's where I need ideas, as this is my situation:
- We're on opposite coasts
- He has expressly said that he definitely wants to pursue a relationship despite the distance
- Work limits the amount of travel we will both be able to do over the next few months
- He has expressed a great desire to meet in cities across the country b/c (and I agree) the 7 hour cross-country trip is hard to swing over a weekend
Does anyone have ideas for cities to spend Friday night - Sunday afternoon? Given that we're on the coasts, I figure it's going to be somewhat middle of the country, but I'm somewhat at a loss for places. I do know that it should be someplace with an easily accessible airport.
This is the first time I've ever been rendered speechless by a man and I think I may be falling for him. I want to give this relationship (which has been plagued by terrible timing over the years) as much of a shot as possible.
Thank you for suggestions!

Your situation sounds a lot like mine. We're on opposite coasts (3,500kms) and we both want the relationship. Fortunately for us, his work situation means he travels a lot, all over the place, meaning we can catch up in different cities (that are generally a lot closer to me than he is!).
Just this weekend, we met up in a different city that he was working in, that was only an hour flight for me. Seeing each other in our own cities requires a bit more planning though, due to having to take time off work etc. Doing a Thursday night to a Monday night is not unreasonable, if you can do those kinds of trips.
No ideas on 'in between' locations for you though. I'm in Australia on the east coast, and he's on the west coast, so 'in between' is anywhere for us. LOL. For you, it would depend probably where on each coast you are, as well (eg north or south).
