Semi-long distance

I have known this wonderful guy, "Ken", for about three months and we have recently begun dating. The problem is that in about two months, I'm going to be moving out of the town we both live in. I'll only be two hours away, and will be coming back to town at least every other weekend. My question is, at that point in our dating (where we'll have been dating for a little over two months), can I propose to him that we keep trying it with the distance? Do I have any right to ask him? And if so, when and how should I propose it? Regardless of his answer, I'm sure he and I will stay friends.

In my opinion, the best way to approach the subject is sitting down and talking about it. Of course you have the right to ask about "where do we stand now and where will we stand then". Just express your feelings regarding the relationship when the LD starts. If you both want to keep dating exclusively and agree in that then there is no problem. If one of you wants an open relationship where you can see other people that means no exclusivity and that will have to be discussed as well. The secret of a good relationship is communication and trust so you better discuss openly all the details.
