She was rude, and I said nothing...

So I met this great guy, Caleb, and we've been friends for a little over a month. We are very attacted to each other, but scared to date more since I'm moving to go to school in a nearby city in a few months. It's only a few hours away and I know we can work it out, but that's the least of my worries. One of his best friends has been rude to me and revealed to him that she has been having feelings for him for a while... before I came in the picture. He assured her and me that he has no feelings for her. Then he tells me he definitly has feelings for me but it's too soon and we should be friends for a while. BUT,how should I act around her? She's always around, and I hate it when she she's near him because I know she likes him. Since we're not "together" officially, I have no right to be mad. Also, they both play it off as if they're "just friends." I know better and I hate the way she treats me because of course she's a little jealous. Do I confront her and make things more weird or play it off like it doesn't bug me??

If she's always around and she's rude to you, I would just move on. You don't need that crap. Sounds like she'd cause a lot of drama.

Play it off and be the bigger person: treat her nice as pie and kill her with kindness. It will just make her look bad by comparison.

It's up to Caleb to set appropriate boundaries and treat her strictly as a platonic friend. If he doesn't, that is an issue that will have to be resolved with him if you take things to the next level.

Well no need to confront her about anything. I'd just ignore her, how rude is she??? I mean what is she saying? If it's something off base then make sure she gets put in her place but if it's just catty things here and there, I'd just ignore her.
