Should I?

I am 20 years old and have never been on a date or ever kissed a guy. I know how lame! Anyways I have been chatting with a guy I met online through MYSPACE who is a really nice guy and lives not to far away from me. I really enjoy talking to him and he seems to be very interested in me. He is 24, and doesn't mind that I'm only 20, like most guys do. He hasn't said anything too perverted to me like other guys seem to do and seems like a real genuine guy. He has asked me out before and I have quickly changed the subject. He asked me out again a few days ago and like usual I changed topics. I don't know what to do. I really think I like him and I know that he's interested in me but I'm afraid that he won't like me when and if we meet. I dont know whether I should take the chance and go on a date with him or should I just continue chatting it up with him. Help me please!

I say go ahead and meet the guy, but make sure that someone (a family member or a good friend,) is aware of where you are. Also be sure to meet in a public place! It's important that you keep your expectations low. More than once I have thought I "really connected" with someone, and they either turned out to be a jerk or just not as great as they seemed to be online. You just never know someone until you *really* know them.
Be smart, be safe, be realistic. :)
