Should i ask him out?

Hi,
i've been talking online with this guy for two weeks now. Last night we saw each other the web cam for the first time, i think we both liked what we saw. He asked what i was doing this week-end. I told him i have a b-day party for a friend of a friend which i don't really know and i truly don't feel like going. It's tonight, but he thinks it's tomorrow..anyways he said if i decided not to go to give him a ring. I asked him he wanted me to call him Friday (tonight), and he answered yes Friday or Saturday. I know he has his dad's dinner party tomorrow night and i'm just guessing that he probably won't be in much mood to go out after... Should i ask him out for tonight? I don't know if guys mind the girl making the first move. I just don't want to be too forward, but i don't have much options here, if i want to see this guy this week-end. Any advise is appreciated.

Thanks to all.

I'd stick with the plans that you already have (party at a friend's) and leave it up to him to plan a date IN ADVANCE. Cancelling your plans and asking him out tonight will make you look desperate to meet him in persdon. I would advice againts it.

I can see that, but in my case, i'm a mother of two and i get my girls back on Sunday for the whole week and won't be able to got out until almost two weeks from now, so I feel that tonight would be my only chance. Plus if we go out tomorrow night it will be somewhat late and i really don't want to meet him at a club, at least not for the first time, and we won't be able to talk. But tonight would be perfect we could go out for a drink talk more and get to know each other.

I would suggest to him that perhaps the two of you can meet for coffee during the day tomorrow.
