Should I be Upset about This?

SO, my boyfriend of TWO YEARS is a chef. the manager/owner of his restaurant where he works decided that 4th of July would be a great day to do a "company outing." So, my boyfriend and his co-workers are going tomorrow to go wine tasting. I wasn't invited apparently, and the BF thinks it's no big deal cause we can hang out when they get back, like around 4 or 5 pm.
What makes me so mad is that
1.) he didnt even ask me if we should do something together or if we had plans already for the 4th
2.) we have always spent this holiday together
3.)we never even have the same days OFF together on a weekly basis (he works weekends, i dont)
4.) i had to ask HIM what we were doing for the 4th of July b/f he broke the news to me, he could have told me when he found out.
Do you guys think i have a right to be annoyed/pissed? what should i do? part of me doesnt want to wait around for him tomorrow when he gets back.

Well, gosh...to me, that seems like a small thing to be upset about, since you'll be seeing each other in the late afternoon anyway. But of course everyone has different things that upset them.
I guess my question is...what good will it do if you don't see him tomorrow evening?
Wouldn't a better solution be to say something like, "oh, I'm sorry to hear that, I was hoping we could spend the whole day together as we've done in past years. Next time something like this happens, could you let me know as soon as you know, so I can make other plans for during the day?"
