Snoring

I am wondering if anyone here has suggestions.

I have been seeing a great guy for nine months. We spend a lot of time together, and we get along well in almost every way. One big problem, though...I snore, and it REALLY bothers him as he is a very light sleeper.

What to do? I'll sometimes move into the other room to sleep, but if this relationship is ever going to move to the "next step" I need a better solution!

TIA,

Sally

I would see your doctor to see if there's something you can do about the snoring. I've been on the other side of this and it's really tough...we tried everything, including earplugs for me but nothing worked. We ended up breaking up over something else but it was definitely an issue.

Thanks for the response...I have been to a doctor, and I'm actually waiting for the results of a snoring test.

I'd really hate to break up over something like this - that would be too sad for words.

I agree...I hope your doctor can give you some good options. My ex was trying to lose weight and also was going to ask his doctor about surgery as the next step (which I thought was extreme and I'm glad it didn't come to that but I did appreciate his concern for my sleep and well-being--I was not doing well on the days after our sleepovers due to lack of sleep).

Otherwise, separate bedrooms might have to be the default. Although it's not ideal, breaking up over this would be worse, I think.

Good luck, I hope it gets resolved!

This can be tough. Ask your dentist - i've heard there are some nightplates that really allievate snoring. good luck
