Is there a NYE dating Rule?
| Sun, 12-31-2006 - 12:36am |
I am curious if there is some sort of rule to dating on New Years Eve that I am not aware of? There are 2 guys that I am interested in. I have been on 2 dates with the first guy, and have only talked on the phone with the 2nd guy. Both have suggested we get together after the holidays/first of the year.
My question is this: Is there some kind of dating rule that says you should/do not celebrate the New Year events with someone you just met/and or have not met?

Pianoguy isn't aware of a rule dictating who...or how many men...a person should date at the same time.
I DO KNOW that most men aren't interested in "sharing a woman" with someone else! So unless you've made it clear to BOTH MEN YOU'RE INTERESTED IN that there's no exclusivity, you might want to choose one over the other?
Since there's also "strength in numbers"---you could also attend a party as part of a group? Who knows? You might end up with an escort (or two) when it's time to head for home?

Not a "rule", per se, but I wouldn't expect to spend NYE with someone I had just had a few dates with. It's too fraught with significance and a guy might think you would assume that you were an established couple if he took you out for NYE. So most guys will just avoid it.
Or they both just could have had other plans, that's certainly a possibility.
Either way, I wouldn't read too much into it.
