Too fast to be real?

I just recently started dating a man who I've know for about a year and saw frequently (at least weekly) at group activities. He always bought me dinner and such when we would go out, with the group.
A little over a month ago, we had our "first date" and had dinner with friends of his. A couple weeks later we went away for the weekend - not to be intimate, just to a resort where his family had a space (he often brings work friends there). We did end up being intimate, but first we talked about what we wanted and where we were at. He brought up being exclusive and I agreed. He also said he was hoping things would work out in a marriage/kids way. Now, this weekend I'll be meeting his parents and some other family members.
I guess my question is, does this seem like it could be real? I have a tendency to jump into thing with my emotions quickly and I'm trying to keep that reined in, but its hard when he's so open about what he wants and his actions seem to support it. We're both in our 40's; he's never been married and hasn't dated anyone seriously in over 5 years, I'm divorced and have a young child.
