about a year ago, i met a guy online who is a student in my university and who teaches some classes (he's 4 years older). We got along really well and spent all our time together. We never had a real date, but after a while i felt that he had feelings for me (he also told one of my friends). The thing is, i was coming out of a really bad break up and wasn't ready to date. I guess he felt i didn't have the same feelings, because he backed off and i didn't hear from him during the holidays.
I saw him about a month ago, and realized what a special guy he is, and that maybe i'm thinking of him as more than a friend...
the BIG PROBLEM is that a few days ago, i went to one of my courses and he was the teacher ! it was a bit awkward, but we laughed about it afterwards and he even flirted a little (but not in the same way than last year).
What do you think i should do ? i'm really starting to have feelings for him.

If he's your teacher, it's a moot point for the time being...these days, most schools have very strict rules about no dating between teachers and students (even if the teacher is also a student).

So I would be friendly with him but put any romantic feelings on hold as best you can until you are no longer in a teacher/student position.

I want to endorse Sheri's comment. A good friend of mine nearly got fired for dating a student. It could get this guy into real trouble if he is dating you, so until the class is over, keep it a student-teacher relationship.

Is he your teacher just until Dec or straight thru to May -if just for this semester you just have a little over a month until this awkward situation is over

Personally, I agree with the other posts, but it is nice to have alternatives to consider. And school rules may forbid student/teacher relationships even if they do not have a class together. Assuming that is not the case, is there another section of the class that has another teacher you could switch too? Whether you date or not, it could take alleviate the awkwardness.
