want to date friend

I have a friend who I've known for about four years and I knew he was such a nice guy we would see each other with our friends together and my friends would say he is in love with you but his life style is this he has a great band wich I go see often only my friends and no guys because I like him so much and he is also a counselor for teens. We have been in situations where we could have really kissed but I decided not to I was very attracted to him and same for him with me so now after all this time I decided to tell him I want to kiss you well to try to make it shorter we kissed and this was the most passionate kiss I ever had and maybe I shouldn't say this but we also had the most passionate sex I'm in ny thirties by the way. He told me earlier in the night while we were out with friends that he really liked me a lot too I already knew that but I told him how I liked him is smiled and kissed me and he said with his busy life with work and music it made me feel weird that was before we kissed and the other so I've been busy since then with my children and could't call to find out what's going on until now no answer but I know he will return my call but I don't want what we did to change that great friendship we had in a bad way, how should I discuss this with him without being pushy I just don't want to lose him!

First of all, you don't "have" him, so you really can't "lose" him. Also, your relationship has already changed- you were attracted to him, and you acted on those feelings, changing the nature of your relationship. However, it seems clear to me that he is not looking for a relationship- he's told you (I think, it was hard to read your post!) that he was too busy and into music for a relationship. So there you have your answer.
