Weird to have separate beds?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 1/2 years, and have a great relationship. We're talking about moving in together, but the discussion is how many bedrooms to have. I don't knwo if this is weird or not, but we don't sleep in the same bed. I move around a lot, and he is a very light sleeper, so we almost never sleep in the same bed at night. He always tucks me in and stays in bed with me until I fall asleep, but then he'll either go home or sleep on the couch. This doesn't bother me, because it makes for a more comfortable night for both of us, but I was wondering if this is strange? Does this mean we have intimacy issues? Or do we just sleep better alone? Y'alls two cents is greatly appreciated.

My parents sleep in seperate beds, have ever since I moved out and my dad could take over my room. My father snores LOUDLY!!! and it bothers my mother. They've been married 35 years...they just get together when they want to do the horizontal mambo.
