What do you think

Okay so I've been talking to this one guy online for about 6 months and have been trying to set up a date to go out but something always happens. Well tonight he was working and I was really bored so I decided to go on a date with another guy that I just started talking to last night. We went out had some fun and now I'm afraid to tell the other guy about what I did the other night. It isn't like we are boyfriend and girlfriend and we haven't even met yet, but I think that he might get upset because of the situation. Should I tell him? I want to date around before I settle for a committment and I did like the guy that I went out with but the problem is that it would be a long distance relationship. What do you think?

Hon, the 6-month online deal is just a cyber friendship. It sounds sketchy to me that in 6 months you haven't had the chance to meet. It's possible that the guy is married or involved already and that he really wants to keep the online affair. You really don't owe him any thing. What you know about him could be all lies. He can control what to say or do. He may be dating where he is, don't you think?
As for the guy you went out with last week, that's good!! You met in person and you can judge if he's good for you. The LD thing I wouldn't recommend it. It's just like online, visits and more visits. You really don't know the person. I had the experience. My suggestion is to date someone locally.

I agree with the other posters--you don't have a relationship with the online guy, let alone any obligation to tell him you're going on dates with other people.

You've been talking online to this guy for six mon ths and haven't even been able to arrange a date yet? You owe him nothing.... certainly there's no commitment and you are free to date as many people as you like! And you should put as many feelers out there as you wish - versus waiting for someone who can't even get it together enough to meet
