Hi all,

I got introduced to this doctor guy, and we had a date at Starbucks. We had a great conversation, about over 1 and 1/2 hour. We talked about a lot of thing, and I told him I played tennis. He said we could play tennis sometime. At the end of the date, he said he would email me to let me know when he can play. I emailed him the next day to thank him for the coffee and give him my cell number. He didn't reply my email until four days later and said we could get together sometime in late May to play tennis.

From my experience, I think he's not into me, but I like to keep in touch with him at friend, and maybe it may develope to something. Also, I love playing tennis, so I think it doesn't hurt to have somebody to play with.

So what do you think about this? He claimed he was very busy with his own practice.

Thanks for your advice.

I would say if you want to be friends with him, be friends. But do not hope for anything more.

Doctors are generally very busy and don't have much time for a personal life with their hospital rounds, medical education credits they earn by attending lectures or classes online, and long days and being on call for emergencies at the hospital at night. If you liked the guy, then keep in touch by email and see how it goes. If you are looking for someone to spend alot time with you, then a doctor may not be for you.
