What does this mean?

I am a guy and 20 years old and I have a friend who is also my age that I have liked (more than friendship) for quite some time. We each do stuff for each other. I have met her parents (mom and stepdad) and they think I am the perfect guy. When ever I am around she always tells me this. The other day her parents came in with her at my work (I am a server)and all they did was talk about me and how I am perfect for her. She asks me if I have a girlfriend and I say no and I ask her and she says no as well. She also mentions that I should meet her dad since I have only met her stepdad, mom, and siblings. The other night see asked if I wanted to stay for dinner with her parents but I couldn't since I had a company party to get to. (Believe you me I did want to stay) My question is what does this all mean? Is this a subtle way for her to tell me to ask her on a date or is it just small talk of friends? Please help! I guess I haven't ask yet since I do not want to be rejected. Any and all help would be great! Thank You.

IMHO, she's waiting for you to ask her out on a proper date. All the signs are there, she doesn't have a BF and her family likes you. She says "you're perfect for her" and such. What are you waiting for? She may tire from waiting for you ask her out and could look somewhere. You know, women think that if a guy we like is nice to us and all, but doesn't ask us out on a date, he's just a nice guy but not BF material. Don't wait any longer.

Thank you for your help and I will ask her I just do not want to make the friendship seem wierd if I do. Do you think this will happen if she does not say sure I date you? I have posted this on all another forum and the replies are all the same that she is waiting and the "perfect guy" is a way of for her to let me know to ask her. Just to clarify she says her parents say I am the perfect guy or is that just a way for her to say it? Thanks again

If you don't take the risk you won't ever know if she wants to date you. There is always the possibility of your friend saying "no, I rather keep you as a frined" that could be a bummer and it may feel akward. If you feel that there is at least 98% chance of her saying "yes, I'll date you" then go for it. Otherwise, just keep her as a friend and move on to date other girls.
