Why is he pulling away?

This is my problem I have a boyfriend who I love very much and we've been together five months. He's deployed in the Army but he recently got back from Iraq and all of a sudden my normally loving always paying attention to me boyfriend is being so distant. He's deployed in Germany now but he used to call me everyday several times a day and always tell me how much he loved me and wanted to be with me and he still tells me that but now he only makes time for me like once or twice a week for five minutes. I just can't understand why he's pulling away and why my normally loving boyfriend is being distant to me now. I mean I have asked him if he's being faithful to me or if he's met someone else and he says no and tells me he loves me all the time and says he thinks of me all the time and misses me very much. So am I being paranoid here or should I suspect something is really going on am i being too demanding and not understanding enough or do I have a right to feel this way?

Try to remember that he's on a military base and his every move is controlled by someone else. He was able to call you every day from Iraq, but maybe in Germany, he isn't allowed to call as often.
Who KNOWS what's going on where he is? Ya know? I wouldn't worry too much about things just now - wait until he gets home for good and then see what happens after he's had time to "settle in" again. Sometimes when soldiers come back from assignments, sometimes they're distant to everyone.
I'd say there's a good chance that's what's going on with him. Yes, your fears could be true, too, but I hardly think he has much time to run around carrying on an affair with someone else with all that's going on overseas. Could it be happening? Absolutely, but I don't think you should be worried about it yet.
Hang in there - it must be so hard for you to be so far apart.
There's a military wives message board here on iVillage. Perhaps some of the women over there could corroborate some of what I've suggested may be happening to your man.
