An actual positive dating experience...

Just had date 3 with a guy I met on OLD and we had our first kiss and I'm kind of smitten ;-). Definitely came home smiling. We'll see--he's lots of fun, cute, an entrepreneur like me...definitely promising so far. He is a bit of a blow torcher though...or rather, he'll do blowtorchy things one day (like call more than once, send a bunch of texts), then nothing for a couple days. So I'm definitely keeping an eye on that...I prefer consistency so we'll have to see how that plays out. But I'm just glad to have something positive going on for a change after all the flakes and 1 or 2 date wonders.

He did finally call today...he says he's been thinking of me and that he meant to call all week but the time just got away from him.
" . . . it seems like men really truly forget you are there sometimes."
If you don't mind me interjecting, and I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble
I disagree. I thing when things are new, perhaps they aren't 'forgetting' you, but you aren't a priority yet. Work, their friends, their life comes first. AT THE BEGINNING, then after a relationship is established, yes, he (hopefully) won't forget!
If he is sooo into you, and many of us have had that happen here, that he is calling and paying attention all the time in the early stages, he is going to disappear or pull back just as fast.
Well, now he's called 3 days in a row, some days more than once, and sent at least one text a day...so I'm obviously back on his radar.
Good point.
She has mentioned a couple of times that she is at least somewhat bothered by his "hot and cold" behavior and inconsistency, and I think this is definitely something to keep an eye on, as it is sometimes indicative of unreliability.
Things seem to be going along well...we had date 5 on Tuesday night and it was another very fun evening together. He's also been much more consistent about calling and keeping in touch
P-Funk? Any man who likes George Clinton is a friend of mine. YAY for you. Also, as you probably know, there's something about P-Funk concerts that make you wonder if you should "inhale"...if you know what I mean. Maybe you will end your date with a giggling guy who has the munchies..could be fun...
Yes, P-Funk!
