Dating a recently divorced guy...

I'm thinking about starting a relationship with a guy who is recently divorced. We have known each other for 10+ years. He has 2 kids that he has custody of. Just wondering what to expect and if I should treat this just like any other relationship. Any advice would be helpful, including on how I suggest to him that we start dating.

I would recommend against dating any recently divorced people.
I wouldn't treat this like every other relationship. This sounds like a delicate situation that should be treated delicately. I'm not one who believes in hard and fast, black and white rules about not dating for a certain amount of time after a divorce - everyone is different. But it should be given considerable thought before just jumping in. There are lots of questions to ask:
